Counter-Strike 2 · build mode
Counter-Strike 2 servers where you build: sentry turrets, laser mines, air defence, drones and a tank you drive yourself - a base-building mode with respawns, the heir of the CS 1.6 "guns + lasers" (CSDM) servers. The servers stand in Europe, 25-35 ms from Ukraine. Your game stays stock: everything downloads by itself when you join.

FAQ
FrontHell is a network of Counter-Strike 2 community servers with a building mode: besides shooting you place turrets, laser tripwires, mines, walls, dispensers and air defence, fly kamikaze and gun drones and drive a tank. The servers' list with the number of players online is at the top of this page.
It is the CS2 successor of the well-known CS 1.6 "CSDM guns + lasers" servers: a fast mode with respawns where every player earns money in fights and spends it on defences for the team - sentry turrets with three levels, laser mines, a dispenser that heals, a money box, a tesla coil - and on vehicles: drones, a Grad rocket launcher, a mortar, a ballistic strike, a tank.
Yes, on the FrontHell server Плацдарм (Platsdarm). One antenna with a ring around it stands on the map. A team takes it by standing in the ring for 5 seconds and gains seconds while it holds the ring with no enemy in it; 180 seconds in all win the round, and the next round is fought for another place. Buildings and drones, the Grad, the mortar and air defence are all there; tanks are switched off on that server.
No mod and no launcher. Press "Play" on a server's tile, or open the console and type the "connect" line shown on it, or search for "FrontHell" in the community server browser. The menu's look, the models and the sounds are one Steam Workshop pack that the game downloads by itself on the first join; there is no client mod to install and no game file to change.
There is nothing to download. Tanks, drones, turrets and air defence are FrontHell's server-side mod: it runs on our servers, and the game itself fetches the models, the sounds and the pictures from the Steam Workshop when you join. No client mod to install, no game files to change. To play CS2 with tanks and drones, press "Play" on any server on this page or type its address into the console.
Open the shop with F3 (or type !shop in chat), choose the turret and press "Take" - taking is free, you pay when you place it. Aim at level ground: a green silhouette means it fits, E places it, R cancels. It assembles in a few seconds. Press E at your turret to upgrade it, F to move it, and hit it with the knife to repair.
Buy it in the shop and put it down like a building. Hold R while looking at your tank or Grad to take control; a drone can be taken from anywhere by holding R. The tank is driven with WASD, the gun follows the mouse, the left button fires and the right button opens the gunner's sight. R again leaves the vehicle.
Yes. Playing on FrontHell servers is free; you only need Counter-Strike 2, which is free to play on Steam.
English, Russian and Ukrainian. The server picks the language of your game; you can change it with the flags at the bottom of the in-game menu or with the chat command !language en, !language ru or !language ua. The choice is remembered.
Yes - FrontHell. The tank is bought in the in-game shop and put down like a building; hold R at it to get in. WASD drives it, the turret follows the mouse, the left button fires a shell that goes off like a grenade, the right button opens the gunner's sight. A tank has hit points: the enemy team can shoot it, mine it or bomb it from a drone.
Yes. The kamikaze drone is an FPV drone: you fly it from its own camera and crash it into a player, a turret or a tank. The gun drone hovers and shoots. Both are bought in the shop, taken off from anywhere by holding R, and can be shot down - or caught by the enemy's air defence and nets.
The Grad is a rocket launcher: its owner picks an area on the map from a camera above the launcher and a salvo of rockets comes down on it, with a siren and an alert on everybody's screen. The air defence (PVO) is its answer: it shoots down enemy drones and Grad rockets over your base by itself. Nets catch drones without a shot. A mortar's mines it cannot stop, and the shell of a ballistic strike only by luck.
The servers stand in Europe (Warsaw), 25-35 ms from Ukraine and most of the EU. FrontHell is a Ukrainian project; the servers and this site speak English, Ukrainian and Russian.
